Step-by-Step: Our Custom Project Process
1. Share Your Vision
You don’t need a polished drawing to start. Whether you have a full SketchUp model, a napkin sketch, or just a Pinterest board, we’re here to listen. Tell us what you’re imagining and what problem it solves. We’ll ask questions, gather any drawings or specs you have, and get the conversation going.
Good things to include when reaching out:
- Dimensions or rough measurements
- Style inspiration or mood boards
- Intended use or functionality
- Material preferences or requirements
2. We’ll Collaborate on the Details
Once we understand your vision, we’ll reach out to refine the scope. This is where we discuss the context and constraints of your project, which might include:
- Timeline and lead time
- Budget or investment range
- Where and how your piece will be used (in a space, in a product line, etc.)
- Site requirements or delivery needs
- Who will be handling the installation or integration (you, us, or a contractor?)
If it helps, we can set up a quick Zoom or phone call. Otherwise, we can collaborate by email or shared docs, whatever fits your workflow best.
3. Design, Quote + Build!
We’ll provide sketches, reference images, and/or 3D mockups based on your project. You’ll receive a transparent quote with:
- Materials & finishes breakdown
- Labor and fabrication time
- Shipping or delivery estimates
Once approved, our team gets to work. We handle fabrication in-house, ensuring quality control every step of the way. This includes:
- Creating molds or jigs if needed
- Finishing surfaces to spec (including color, texture, and sealant)
- Assembling hardware, packing, and preparing for install
4. Delivery Day + Install Support
Your custom piece is shipped with care, whether it’s headed to a job site, a design studio, or a client’s home. We include any necessary mounting hardware and clear instructions, and if installation or setup is part of the plan, we can coordinate that too, including white glove delivery or install support when needed.
Even if your piece isn’t being “installed” in the traditional sense, we’re here to ensure it arrives safely and is ready to shine in its intended context.
